It is reported that Amazon broke the sales record last Black Friday weekend and sold hundreds of millions of products. However, more than 1,000 Amazon workers in Britain will go on strike from November 7 to 9, and plan to go on strike again on Black Friday to seek better wages and safer working conditions.
This is not the first time that Amazon employees in the UK have protested against low wages and poor working conditions. Another strike was held on Black Friday in 2018. The GMB trade union said that Amazon did not meet the needs of employees. As Black Friday approaches, Amazon must urgently reconsider its priorities, otherwise the strike may cause widespread interference to customers and the public.
